What, you’re not fluent in German? Let us translate. Oktoberfest is returning to the Public House! And you’re invited…
So dust off those dirndls and lederhosen that you haven’t worn since last year’s Angel City Oktoberfest, put on your favorite, feathered fedora, hop in your Volkswagen and head to the Public House on September 20th!
The day’s festivities will include stein hoisting, authentic German food, prizes for best dressed and the most traditional German contest of them all, a sauerkraut-eating contest (ok, not that traditional but it’s going to be wunderbar).
We will also be tapping our Oktoberfest Keg in the German Bier Hall at 12:30pm. This seasonal favorite is a medium-bodied, auburn-hued, Marzen style lager with a sweet, caramel-like finish that’s best enjoyed alongside live polka music. routes Lucky for you, we will have plenty of the latter thanks to Linda Herman & the Polka Party Band, Bob Schuster’s Funhaus and Kalifornia Krauts who will keep you polka dancing all night long…or until 8pm.
Invite your friends and join us for this classic fall celebration. Prost!
Free admission. Doors open at noon. Event is 21+
