Celebrating Pride with the Los Angeles LGBT Center

The Angel City Brewery team was joined by members of the Los Angeles LGBT Center on May 15, to create LGBTQ Pride a wheat ale, brewed with lemon, ginger, blackberries, tea and quinoa – a diverse beer celebrating the 50 years of pride and of the diversity of the Los Angeles community.

The beer will be hitting the taps this Pride Month, and will make appearances at Trans Pride, on Saturday, June 15 –  the same day as the LA Beer Week kick-off, where it will also be available. Fans can also find pints being poured at the Center’s showing of Hairspray, as part of their OUT Under the Stars series on Friday, June 21 at Hollywood Forever Cemetery, as well as at OUTFEST, the country’s leading film festival dedicated to showing LGBTQ stories on screen.

The LGBT Center and the brewery will officially launch and celebrate the collaboration on Sunday, June 23, 2019, for OUT at Angel City, 12:00-6:00PM. The event will serve as a fundraiser for the LA LGBT Center, which is observing “50 Years of Queer,” celebrating the activism, service and support. The LGBT Center serves as the world’s largest provider of programs and services for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people.
