A Celebration of Dad-Inspired Food & Bad Jokes

Father’s Day wouldn’t be Father’s Day without good food. Sure, you might still spend the day letting dad put his feet up, thanking him for all of his hard work that he did for you. But what’s the point, if you don’t get to pig out on delicious, artery-clogging grub?

So for Father’s Day this year, we brought some of our favorite food trucks in to the brewery, along with some of our favorite bands, to help you and dad chow down, without making him fire up the grill.

Want to get to know who’s cooking up your Father’s Day Feast? We sat down with the owners of these three mobile eateries to find out about their dishes and the dads that inspired them.

What is your favorite memory with your dad?

My favorite memory is going fishing at the lake, gathering up with my family, cooking, playing on the guitar, singing songs. I love to teach same the things to my daughter that I learned.

Is anything on your menu inspired by your father?

Yes! Polish sausage of course! On the summer almost every weekend we made campfire and did well-done sausages. My dad loves to eat with crispy bread and drink cold beer.

What would your father order from your food truck?

My father would order from food truck kielbasa and the pork chop sandwich with grilled onion. Like my father would say, “A real man loves to eat meat and drink good beer.”

What’s your best menu item to spill on a necktie?

The Italian beef sandwich dipped in Au jus sauce! Add a spicy giardiniera to kick off your sandwich. You can get messy but it is very tasty!

What’s your favorite dad joke?

One of the favorite jokes is: How do you talk to a fish? By dropping him a line.
