The year is coming to a close and what a year it’s been! Great beer, great food, and so much fun with all of you who have passed through our doors at the Public House or joined us at an event around town. Our extended beer family continues to grow and grow and this year was no exception.
Speaking of family, most of us here in LA are transplants and often left to our own devices (AKA – lite beer and a Hungry Man dinner) over the holiday. Meanwhile, our newsfeeds become clogged by photos of illuminated trees and status updates of engagements… Your Snap and Insta are chock-full of haphazard images of ex-beaus snuggling in front of crackling fires or under mistletoes… it’s enough to drive anyone a little mad. So, just before the holiday we channeled our inner Miss Hannigan and hosted a family dinner for the winners of our Better Than Family Dinner contest, complete with local bites from Cerveteca and beer pairings fresh from our taps. After dinner, Dan, our most animated bartender surprised our guests with some good old fashioned family fun and friendly competition in the form of everyone’s favorite game show – Family Feud! The mezzanine was full of enough warmth, laughter, and holiday spirit to make anyone forget about missing Mom’s holiday ham! A special thank you, once again, to all those who entered and let us in on a little bit of family dirt.

We’ve got one more family party left in us (this year) and it’s a big one! Our No Cover New Year’s returns to the Public House Thursday night with live music, food trucks, party favors and a midnight toast of our Sparkling Berliner. Get the deets!
