Quarantime: 5 Questions for Leticia Barajas

Leticia Barajas

Since we’re not able to be together for a shifty, we thought we’d send along some quarantime questions to our co-workers to see what they’ve been up to. Next up, Leticia Barajas.

What is your job at the brewery? How does it look WFH edition?

I am the Events and Marketing Manager at Angel City Brewery. Lately, working from home has forced me to take a step back and truly focus on what we want to accomplish as a brewery in LA within our community. It has also has given me time to play with my huge German Shepard, so I am very thankful there.

What is the best movie you’ve watched/podcast you’ve listened to/book you’ve read in isolation so far? I love The Highest Self podcast with Sahara Rose, highly recommended for anyone wanting to discover their Dosha and highest self! I’m currently reading Radical Candor: Be a Kick Ass boss Without Losing Your Humanity by Kim Scott.

Best local takeout? Drinks/beer to-go?

Being Mexican I must get my taco fix at least once a week, my Tuesday spot is Chef Alan Matheus with Corazon LA. He does pop-ups every Tuesday at Boomtown Brewery and has continued to safely do carryout during these unprecedented times. Not only does it give me an opportunity to support a local chef, but I also get to support a local brewery.

What is your go-to happy place at home?

I’m lucky to have a huge garden outside, so my go-to happy place has always been among nature. Lately, I have found comfort just being outside listening to all the beautiful birds.

Have you learned a new skill – language?

I have taken up photography. As a young adult, I dabbled with film, I am now excited to continue working with film, moving to shooting digital. Make sure to keep an eye open for some beer pics coming soon!
