Brewed as a strong amber ale then soured with lactobacillus only to go into 2nd use Tequila barrels with brett bruxellensis for 3 months to make it a funky sour. Finally, Syrah pomace was put into each barrel for another 6 months of aging to extract a ruby red color, grape flavor and tannins for texture. Leading off with dark fruit, raisin, almond and subtle chocolate aromas lend well to a tart, dark cherry and black currant flavor that finishes dry and sherry-like. The time is now, Syrahcalypse Now.
