We tried a little mash-up of words to create this beer-wine hybrid by fermenting California grown Pinot Gris grapes in a Belgian-style Grisette. Pinot Gris is a type of white grape for wine-making that impart lightly floral and honeysuckle aromas along with nectarine and faint lemon and pear flavors. The Belgian characteristics of the Grisette add some lightly spicy notes of black pepper along with some fruity, bubble gum flavors. We even brewed it with some oats to add a little complexity in body and grain flavor. It’s suitable for both the fans of Belgian beers and white wine connoisseurs.
