Imagine enjoying a sweet, rich pastry from Eastern Mediterranean that is filled with dried dates and pistachios with sprinkled coconut and toasted sesame on the top. Imagining that flavor experience into a beer was our goal. This warming light-brown Doppelbock is brewed with pureed dried dates and date sugar and then barrel aged for 4 months in 2nduse Rye whiskey barrels. Once we pull it from barrels we let it age briefly on vanilla bean, cardamom, coconut chips, toasted pistachios and toasted sesame seeds. Candied and spiced aromas with notes of toffee and cardamom shine through. The body and mouthfeel are indulgent that carry a rich, caramelly sweet and a little bit nutty flavor.
