Come pick up one of our Batch 2000: Pearwolves of London (Gin Barrel Aged) – To commemorate our 2000th batch at Angel City we brewed up a Pear Saison with Gin botanicals similar to a London-style Gin. We took a portion of Batch 2000 and placed it in ex-Gin barrels with more Pear puree and some Lacto and Brett cultures to let it age and get funky for almost a year. The barrel aging and mixed fermentation cultures definitely turned it up a notch by adding interesting tartness, oak and nuanced barnyard character. Hints of pear still remain to balance out with some of the more aromatic herbal notes of the gin botanicals: Spruce, Juniper, Ginger, Orange peel, Tangerine Peel, Lemon peel, Coriander and Chamomile. Appearance – Golden and slightly hazy
Aroma – Floral, earthy, herbal and pear and Gin-like.
Taste – Earthy, funky, herbal, and ends slightly sweet
Malt – Europils, Munich, Acidulated malt, Flaked Barley, Wheat
Other – Pear puree, Spruce, Juiper, Ginger, Orange peel, Tangerine Peel, Lemon peel, Coriander and Chamomile.

Hops – Aramis, Cenntenial, Chinook, Simcoe
Yeast/Mixed cultures – Farmhouse Saison, Lactobacillus, Brettanomyces Bruxellensis.
